2019_05-04  Mayor Joseph Sullivan, Nelson Chin - Manager of Recreation and Community Events; and Christopher Griffin - Asst. Recreation and Community Events Coordinator, kicked off Braintree's Beautification Day, starting at Town Hall.

A large group of volunteers gathered to get instructions before heading out to designated locations across town.

Town Hall;  French's Common; Thayer Public Lbrary;  Gen. Sylvanus Thayer's residence; The Braintree Historical Society Barn; The Council for Elder Affairs grounds; Swift's Beach;  The Playing Fields and Monatiquot shore; The Monatiquot River behind Shaw's; and Sunset Lake.

A Thank You barbeque for the voluneers was held at the lake afterward. Hamburgers, veggie burgers, Hot Dogs, fixin's, chips, soft drinks. A great show of support and dedication to cleaning up and caring for the Town.
